When I started hunting for a trailer company to custom build an aluminum trailer for my 24’ Carolina Skiff, I quickly found that most of the builders primarily build trailers for deep V style boats and seem to have little experience with flat bottom boats. Nobody seemed to be able to give me the long bunks I required on their frames that were designed for V bottom boats. B&S on the other hand builds not only V bottom boat trailers, but also has has extensive experience building flat bottom boat trailers for both air boats and Carolina Skiffs. (In fact, the next time you see one of those super high dollar air boats, there’s a good chance it’s sitting on a B&S trailer). Cliff, the owner, not only easily addressed all my requirements, but added and improved upon them in designing my new trailer. The trailer was built on time and on budget, no drama involved. When I picked it up, I was very much impressed by how much pride the young craftsmen working there have in their creations. They deserve to be proud…..It’s beautiful. Having had a fairly long career in the custom motorcycle industry, I know well built when I see it, and this super heavy duty trailer is exceptional. The workmanship on this trailer is excellent, and it was built with all top of the line materials and components. Not a corner was cut. There is not a single thing I would want done differently. I could ramble on for many more paragraphs about the specifics, but suffice to say that to compare the level of quality of this trailer to a flimsy, generic universal trailer from your local trailer place is laughable. And you know what the amazing thing is? I got this beautiful, one off, custom built trailer at a price competitive with the big name, low quality generics. I requested a custom-built trailer with particular options and dimensions, and they built a quality trailer. The price was very competitive but reasonable for the excellent quality build. B&S has built us trailers for a skiff and offshore boat. They are hands down the best looking, highest quality A-1 trailers. Cliff, Renee and the rest of the staff are great to work with. Picked up my new B&S trailer yesterday, Cliff and his guys did a great job on the trailer and also went above and beyond to make sure the boat fit like a glove. It was nice to have the boat there and make the few needed adjustments to make sure it trailered good. And boy did it we had a 2.5hr drive back to GA and the boat trailered the best it ever has. This is the 3rd trailer under this boat and in my opinion the best I’ve had , the workmanship , quality material & customer service is all 1st class !!!
